1) Can
I audit the courses offered at WMI?
WMI does not offer
an auditing option at this time because the training
has been created to be integrative and transformational. This
will only occur if the student fully participates in
the curriculum.
2) What
are the qualifications of your instructors?
Our instructors
have been prayerfully
selected by the director and president and
have been approved by the Advisory Board. Each
instructor comes to us with significant experience as women in ministry leadership. They
have demonstrated a passion to see women trained to minister
to women in their churches and communities, and they
share in the vision of the Institute.
3) How
computer savvy do I need to be to complete the WMI training?
Basic computer
knowledge is required to attend and complete the WMI
training. This
includes knowledge of software for paper preparation. Consistent
and reliable email access is necessary.
4) How
much time do the assignments take?
Pre-course
assignments do require reading and completion
of the material laid out by the instructor by a set
date. This should take the student an average of 10-15 hours. The post-course assignment will be reflective
in nature. Students will be required to journal their
thoughts and reflections on the material taught in
each of the units through guided questions and things
to think about This should take the student an average
of 2-3 hours. We recognize that each
student works at a different pace and so we have only
provided an average.
5) What
are some of the other costs I need to consider with WMI?
Each
student is responsible to purchase their own textbooks and
resources. Instructors have been encouraged to keep
the cost of these books down but we also encourage you
as a student to begin to build your own personal library. Coaching
calls which take place over the phone on a
conference line biweekly do cost the student approximately
$4.00 per call if they put a long distance program in
place. We
will give that information so that you can do so.
